With the increased use of phone technology, driving risks have also grown. Most people don't realize that texting and driving can be as destructive as driving while under the influence.
By taking that risk, as many as 13 teenagers a day will have their lives taken away because of phone use while driving. These statistics have drawn the attention of local lawyer, Vic Hawk, of Hawk Law Group. With the help of his marketing team, the Send Could Be the End Campaign started in the Fall 2013 to reach out to CSRA schools and driving academies.
Send Could Be the End Campaign has two program options. Vic Hawk will provide teachers with a 20-30 minute interactive seminar and he will also visit high school football games to discourage texting while driving. Football game visits will give us a chance to talk more with students and also encourage them to join our pledge against texting and driving.
